A Place to Belong

How it all started...

Ogden Church can trace its origin to 1897 as Beulah Chapel in Ogden Station. After years of faithful ministry Beulah Chapel had to shut its doors in 1947 and the building sat idol until a group of teenagers and adults led the charge in 1954 to revitalize the old church. And so Ogden Church was born and became a powerful instrument of making God known to the people of Lenawee County.

Expanding the vision...

In a move to reach the unreached during the 1990s and early 2000s Ogden Church began holding their services in the historic Croswell Opera House. This period in the church's history was marked not only by its growth but by the commitment and excitement of the people of Ogden. Over the years the dream of helping reach those who weren't being reached would lead Ogden from the cornfield, to the Croswell, and finally in 2003 to its current location on US 223.

Where we are headed...

Since moving to the building the church has experienced great joys and endured great hardships. Yet through it all God's hand has been guiding the church to be a vehicle for the good news of Jesus, and all to His Glory. As the church continues to step forward it holds with a strong conviction to reach those who desperately need the good news through evangelistic outreach and strategic missional partnership, discipleship rooted in a commitment to Group Life, and a desire to see the church freed from the mortgage on the building so that we might be freed to expand ministry in impact in a world so desperately needing the good news of Jesus. Whatever the future holds we are blessed by the knowledge that God is faithful and steadfast, this is His church and we follow where He leads.
